Sevilla acquires Alexis from Valencia

Squillaci has yet to finalize his move to Arsenal, but is expected to seal the deal at any time, pending a physical. Sevilla didn't waste time acquiring a replacement, signing the 25-year-old Alexis for more than $6 million.
Alexis, who played for Spain at the U-17, U-19, U-20 and U-21 levels, is expected to sign a five-year deal with Sevilla.
